- Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE)Certification Program, administered by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, certifies women-owned businesses to help facilitate contracting capabilities with public and private-sector entities. However WBE certification is not a guarantee of contracts, nor does it provide preference in state contracting. To be certified, a business must be organized for profit, have Wisconsin operations, and meet the state definition of woman-owned business. There is a $150 certification fee.
